Trust & Estate Administration
Attorneys in our Trust and Estate Administration group regularly serve as executors and trustees for clients of all ages and backgrounds. We also provide assistance to family members in carrying out their own duties when named as the executor under a will or trustee of a trust.
After the death of a loved one, it can be difficult to sort through the necessary paperwork and tax obligations that apply. We can guide families through the New Hampshire probate process and assist with related matters including:
- valuation of assets;
- preparation of court filings;
- estate, gift, and income tax returns;sale of real estate;
- creditors claims; and
- communication with beneficiaries.
Several of the attorneys in our Trust and Estate Administration group are fellows of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), a professional association whose members are selected for their professional reputation and contributions to the fields of estate planning, trust administration, probate and tax law. Tom Masland was elected NH State Chair of ACTEC at their meeting in 2009.
