Lisa Lee presented a social media workshop to more than seventy librarians and members of library boards of trustee on Friday, November 4, 2011. The presentation dealt with the potential First Amendment issues libraries face when they choose to delete posts that members of the public post on the Facebook wall of the library. The presentation offered its participants several practical tools for reducing their risk. It also highlighted the beneficial ways that libraries can use social media to enhance their goals.
