Garry has practiced general civil litigation in state and federal court for thirty years, including personal injury, products liability, employment, business, and aviation litigation.
Much of Garry’s practice is in federal court, either as primary counsel, or assisting out-of-state firms to successfully resolve their cases through negotiated settlement or trial. In aviation cases, Garry usually represents the defense, including aviation insurers, manufacturers, pilots, FBO’s, and airlines. As a long time pilot, his extensive aviation background proves valuable. He has a special interest in severe burn injury cases and represents both plaintiffs and defendants. In addition to litigation, Garry also represents several small businesses in general legal issues, helping them avoid litigation.
Garry mediates and arbitrates cases through the Superior Court’s Office of Mediation and Arbitration, the New Hampshire Bar Association, and is also available for private mediations and arbitrations. He is a trained marital mediator and volunteers with the Bar Association’s Domestic Violence Emergency Project, or DOVE, an organization which provides legal assistance to women and children dealing with domestic violence.
Garry is chair of the New Hampshire Bar Association’s Business Litigation Section, and serves on its Continuing Legal Education Committee, and its Dispute Resolution Committee. He is a past member of the Bar Association’s Board of Governors.
Garry is a New Hampshire native. He is a licensed, instrument-rated pilot and flies sailplanes. He is a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and the Soaring Society of America. He is also a member of the New Hampshire Writer’s Project, and in the summer of 2009, finished his first novel, And Who Judges You? (Currently seeking an agent).
